Frequently Asked Questions What is your photographic style?Exciting reportage, documentary style of wedding photography, (other than 5 or 6 informal group shots) This is to ensure you have a relaxed, informal, fun & memorable day, enabling you to spend more time with family and guests. As well as photographing the main events of the day, we also aim to photograph the details, such as drinks, the invitations, the flowers and the dress. Capturing these completes the story and after all, a lot of money is spent on these things. We do advise our clients to let their wedding guests know the style of wedding photography that will be used on the day, as guests tend to wait to be directed for photos as it is tradition. How many photographs will you take on the day?We take unlimited images to enable us to create the story of your day. Do you shoot digital or film?We shoot digital as this suits the quickness of reportage photography. Do you shoot in black & white, or colour? We shoot in colour as this can then be changed to what ever colour required i.e. black & white. How long do you spend at a wedding? We are there for as long as required (subject to coverage booked). We book just one wedding per day to give you our full attention. Do you have backup equipment?Yes. You never know when something could fail at an important moment, We use two cameras. What happens if it rains on our wedding day?We will shoot as much as practically possible and you may get a bit wet. We do carry a white umbrella just in case. If rain is bad then photographs would be taken indoors, either in the church or reception venue. Do you check out the venue beforehand?Wherever possible, we will check out the venue before the wedding. But because of the style of photography it is not always necessary. Lighting and backgrounds also change depending on the time of year and even the time of day, therefore what looks nice several weeks before the wedding might look different on the day.
